El Arte de vivir is an independent publication launched in June 2024
by Valentina Alvarez.

I am Valentina, a visual artist born in Caracas, Venezuela, a soul learning to move through life with awareness, translating human experience into images and spaces. Traveling through diverse landscapes and connecting with different cultures from a young age awakened in me a deep love for creativity and exploration.

My work seeks to reveal strength and grace, exploring the symbolic language of the body and mind, tracing movements between ancestral echoes, contemporary rhythms, and inspiring landscapes. Each project I create arises from the intention to capture emotions, stories, and connections, reflecting the richness and diversity of human experience.

Migration, resilience, and the search for identity have profoundly shaped my journey, transforming challenges into opportunities to grow and create. My art is a testament to that path: an invitation to feel, discover, and connect with our true selves.

My practice spans visual arts, art direction, scenography, branding, and storytelling for festivals, brands, and personal or small-scale creative projects. I explore and play with the relationships between color, texture, and form, shaping experiences and visuals that are bold, vibrant, high-contrast, balanced, and thoughtfully composed, with a sense of presence and narrative.

I founded Soul Coliving (www.soulcoliving.com) as a reflection of the many paths my journey has taken — a home for travelers, artists, and adventurous souls. Guests are invited to embrace a slower rhythm, explore creativity, collaborate, or simply find inspiration and connection. The space embodies my vision of life as a shared, conscious, and creative experience.
